PhD, ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist, ISSN Certified Sports Nutritionist, Founder of Gone Training
Born and raised in Austria, I received a Ph.D. in Exercise Science, a Master in Exercise Science with a Minor in Sports Management and a Track&Field Coaching Certification from the University of Vienna in Austria.
For many years my research focus was physical fitness testing in children and master athletes. I was a research assistant at the Institute of Exercise Science of the University of Vienna in Austria. Over the years I’ve taught university couses in Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Weight Training, Exercise Science, and many more.
After I moved to the USA in 2009, I became a Certified Exercise Physiologist with the American College of Sports Medicine.
A Certification with ASCA as a Swim Coach, and Certification with USA Triathlon were base of many years of swim and triathlon coaching. I successfully helped numerous age groupers to conquer the finish line – in Europe, Australia and the U.S.
2019 I got certified as an ISSN Certified Sports Nutritionist with the International Society of Sports Nutrition.
Lisi participated in sailing, dirt-bike and triathlon competitions across the European region and North America for 20 years.
She maintained a disciplined training approach and dedication to her job simultaneously.
She won bronze, silver and gold medals at the European Enduro Championships for Women being sponsored by Austrian’s motorcycle company KTM.
Since her competitive career end in 2015, she continues to enjoy trail running, road and MTB bike riding, nordic walking, weight lifting and SUP paddling.
Today you’ll find Lisi teaching Biology and Kinesiology classes, like Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics, at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
In her coaching business gone-training, she supports fitness enthusiasts and endurance athletes to reach their training and Sports Nutrition goals.
She collaborates with Health Experts in Austria, and helps to develop and implement programs for Females Over 40, and Overweight Kids.
To support the health of our community, she gives local talks and writes training- and nutrition-related articles for those who want to use science-based knowledge to improve their fitness.
